Gabrielle Salta Li is a Chinese-American multidisciplinary artist living in Durham, North Carolina. She has coalesced with art, design, and her own definitions of beauty her entire life. She was educated at Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, Massachusetts in 3D Fine Art, Glass with experience spanning in illustration, animation, design, printmaking, and sculpture. Her personal insight drives ever-evolving and converging content with the use of traditional mediums. Unbound by temporal objectives, she distills juicy memories & heightened sensations with the knowing there is no tangible separation between the natural world and spirit worlds. These nonlinear, microcosmic moments are recollected from personal synesthesia and informed by the pleasure of being alive. They surface organically through a system of echoes and intuition, -recollecting ambient color, energetic light, epicurean forms, and scenes through the vein of both spirit and matter. G.S.L.'s works are leavened memories and encounters with an emphasis on the felt. This animistic theme is rendered through the stillness found in chaos and the blurred physicality between ordinary and non-ordinary reality, an ongoing relationship that shapes our personal visioning.
